Profile
Build your profile
Enter your experience by hand or import an existing resume so Job Umbrella has something to work with.
Your profile holds your work history, education, skills, and target titles. The AI uses it to build resumes, to tailor them, and to score your job matches, so it is worth getting right. You have two ways to fill it in. Pick whichever is faster for you.
Option A: Import an existing resume
- Open the Profile page.
- Use the resume import and upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file.
- The AI reads it and structures it into your profile — name, headline, experience with bullet points, education, and skills.
- Review the result, correct anything the AI read wrong, then save.
Importing uses 1 free AI run from your daily allowance.
Option B: Enter it by hand
- On the Profile page, fill in your basics — name, headline, location, and contact links.
- Add each role under Experience, with a few achievement-oriented bullet points.
- Add your education, skills, and any projects or certifications.
- Save. You can come back and refine it any time.
Generate target job titles
Once your profile has your name, at least one experience, and one skill, use Generate job titles on the profile page. The AI suggests realistic titles you are qualified for. These titles score your matches in Find Jobs and become one-click options in the search tab. You can edit them freely.
Tips for a strong profile
- Put a number in a bullet point where you can. Numbers stand out.
- List the skills and tools you genuinely have. They feed resume tailoring and matching.
- Keep it current. A fuller profile gives the AI more to work with.
- Add match keywords next to your titles. They tell Find Jobs what a good listing looks like for you.
