Getting started with Job Umbrella

Job Umbrella brings your whole job search into one place: a profile, AI-tailored resumes, cover letters, scored job matches, and a Board. Here is the fastest path from sign-up to your first tracked application.

1. Create your account

Go to Sign up and register with your email and a password. It is free, and you can start using your Board immediately.

2. Build your profile

Your profile is the foundation for everything the AI does. On the Profile page you can enter your experience by hand or import an existing resume and let the AI fill it in for you. See Build your profile for the details.

3. Explore the core areas

• Find Jobs — read matches scored against your profile, and run prefilled searches across 12 boards and the government sites. See Find jobs that match your profile.
• Resumes — create a resume that hiring software (ATS) can read, and tailor it to a specific job. See Create and customize your resume.
• Fit check — see what a posting asks for that your resume misses. See Check how well a resume fits a job.
• Cover letters — draft a letter from the resume you tailored. See Write a cover letter for a job.
• Applications and Board — add jobs and move them through your stages. See Track your job applications.
• Browser extension — capture a posting onto your Board with one click. See Install and use the browser extension.

The recommended flow

Build your profile, then generate your target job titles. Read your matches in Find Jobs, and capture anything else you spot with the extension. Tailor a resume to each job, read the Fit check, and add a cover letter. Track every one on your Board. Each step makes the next one easier, because they all read the same profile.

Your data stays yours

You can import a spreadsheet you already keep, and export everything as CSV at any time. You can delete your account, with a full copy emailed to you first. We do not sell your personal information, and advertisers never see your resume or your applications. See Your data, your control.
